The Val-Dieu Abbey Christmas beer is a blond Christmas beer. This unfiltered beer and unpasteurized beer was produced under top fermentation and has an alcohol percentage of 7°.
The Val-Dieu Abbey Christmas beer may have a strong resemblance to a triple, but a subtle rearrangement of the pronounced malt aromas and yeasts creates a firm body and smoothness.
This beer is characterized by its extremely white head, which is rather modest but stands up well and has a blond color interspersed with pleasant copper tones. In the nose we are flooded by aromas of roasted malts, caramel and spices with a leading role for cinnamon.
These flavors also return in the mouth, but supplemented with the taste of dried fruit and a touch of grapefruit. Yeast is also clearly present and the whole offers a balanced and soft beer
A Val Dieu is the ideal choice for lightly spiced white meat dishes or with fruit pies, especially apple pie.
