Oud Bruin Oak Leaf was created by adding oak leaves to Oud Bruin that has already matured for a year in oak barrels.
The oak leaves are hand picked in a local forest close to the brewery.
The late summer leaves give off a tannic taste and provide an astringent feeling in the mouth. The wild yeasts on the leaves ferment the complex sugars. Through this process they also produce a range of complex and specific organic aromas.
