This traditional South West Flemish beer will wake up your taste buds with a bang. Once your senses have recovered, they experience a complex blend of wine-like aromas, complemented by red fruit, wood and green apple. Lactic acid dominates the taste. This red-brown beer is a blend of old and young beer, matured in different wooden barrels. The taste of each barrel is unique, but by blending them, the same style is always obtained. The beer ages in the bottle for a minimum of six months, where it further develops its finesse and delicate aromas.
Smell: Red fruit and wood
Taste & Aroma: At the first sip, the lactic acid immediately dominates. After getting used to the acid, the aromas of green apple, wood, bread and red fruit come out more clearly. The acid lingers just long enough and gives way to a drying sensation in the mouth.
