A dark reddish-brown beer, fairly clear with a slight haze; fine light brown foam. A nose of fruity yeast and hop aromas, also some roasted notes. The taste is surprisingly fresh & dry, hoppy with a fairly creamy mouthfeel, soft roasted and even some smoky tones, a bit of chocolate, light fruitiness with a little bit of candy in the aftertaste, perfect for many food pairings. Goes well with stews, red meat (lamb!), game, sweet (grilled) vegetables.
