Novice Black Tripel is a dark brown beer, even with a black appearance, that has a dry, sweetish taste and a pleasant citrus bitter aftertaste. It belongs to the creative beers that differ organoleptically from the classic beer styles. Novice Black Tripel has 8.5% alcohol by volume. The smell is malty and reminiscent of the crusts of freshly sliced coarse bread with a hint of caramel.
On the tongue we taste basic flavors of sour and bitter, the result of active fermentation, refermentation and refermentation in the bottle and the bittering with top quality aromatic hops. Sour and bitter are in balance. Touches of coffee, caramel, noir-noir chocolate enhance the aroma.
