Boskeun, made in Esen as a successor to the Silent Night, is a spring beer. It is a strong beer with a specific taste and aroma. To the connoisseurs to discover berries, licorice, dry leaves, vanilla, chocolate and so much more in the taste, aftertaste and aroma.
TWO YEARS STORAGE
The recipe contains pale malt, Poperinge Golding hops in bubbles, organic cane sugar, pure primary water, top fermentation, fermentation and secondary fermentation in the bottle. All De Dolle Brouwers beers are unfiltered, unpasteurized and refermented. This beer has 9 percent alcohol by volume.
Since Boskeun is an Easter beer, we recommend not to let it marinate for centuries, but to consume it within two years. And keep them cool and dark. Dark green capsules were used in the 2020 bottling, so that it is easy to recognize.
UNIQUE NAME FOR A UNIQUE BEER
Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the Herteleer brothers. When the two brothers had already clashed (play or fight: what's the difference?) Jo had a wound on his upper lip. This was enough to give him the nickname Keun (a hare lip): the Boskeun was born.
