Augustijn Blond is a blond, full-bodied and mild top-fermented monastery beer with secondary fermentation in the bottle and in the barrel. It contains vanilla notes and has a slightly bitter and smooth finish. Augustijn has been brewed since 1295 by the Augustijnen Fathers in Ghent and since 1978 by Brouwerij Van Steenberge.
